
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – State Senator Mark Walker announced four libraries in the 27th Senate District are set to receive a combined total of over $250,000 for library services and programming.
“Libraries play a vital role in keeping communities connected and providing resources to those who need them," said Walker (D-Arlington Heights). “These grants will keep learning fun and accessible to all in the 27th District."
Through the Illinois Secretary of State’s Public Library Per Capita and Equalization Aid Grants program, 639 public libraries statewide will receive nearly $18 million in grants. Libraries may use the funds to support resources and services for their communities, including books, e-books, online resources and internet access, personnel, public programming and capital expenditures.
Four libraries in Walker’s district received over $250,000 in funding, including:
- Arlington Heights Memorial Library - $114,572
- Mount Prospect Public Library - $83,857
- Prospect Heights Library District - $22,190
- Rolling Meadows Library - $35,695
